CHIRLA “Turn Ignorance Around”

A campaign for CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles) flips around the insults Donald Trump aimed at Latinos during the 2016 election season. In the first 3 weeks, the video went viral with over 15 million views, 1 million shares, thousands of comments and over $3MM in free earned media. Hundreds of t-shirts were sold on the #TurnIgnoranceAround website and people all over the country customized their own shirts and posted their photos over social media. I partook in the design direction for the t-shirts, as well as graphics for the website.

Nominated for the Hispanic Campaign of the Year by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

What Donald Trump said about Mexicans is based on ignorance. This campaign helps to turn ignorance around and shows the truth about who Latinos really are in this country.
